Purulent Infectious Myositis: Its Anguish and Ubiquitous!

Abstract: Purulent Infection Myositis (PIM) which was formerly called as tropical myositis is an acute or sub-acute primary infection of striated muscles. It affects all age groups, both sexes and occurs in tropical as well as temperate climates. Most frequently encountered culprits are skin commensals like staphylococci aureus.
