Purification of lysozyme by multistage affinity filtration

Abstract: A multistage affinity filtration process was developed for the purification of proteins. An affinity adsorbent was prepared by immobilizing Cibacron Blue 3GA to TSK gel HW-65F. Adsorption equilibrium experiments showed that the blue TSK gel had a high affinity for lysozyme, while its binding to bovine serum albumin (BSA) was weaker.
