Abstract:The catalyst particles were removed from fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) slurry oil by two-step separation processing. FCC slurry oil was mixed with water and surfactant to make the lower viscosity emulsion. The catalyst particles were removed from the emulsion using the modified hydrophobic ceramic membrane (0.1μm) and then the water was filtered out from oil/water emulsion using an unmodified hydrophilic ceramic membrane (0.05μm) at room temperature. The separation efficiency of catalyst particles and emulsio… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
