“…But, given the difficulty of working on the design of this equipment, advanced technologies emerge as devices that can overcome these design deficiencies. In addition, it is seen as feasible to associate Lean techniques as auxiliary methods for the development of lean product projects, which favors improvement quality (Ara ujo et al, 2021), and the reduction of waste at different moments of designing projects and processes and in different organizational contexts (Araujo et al, 2023;Reis et al, 2018Reis et al, , 2021Reis et al, , 2022Reis et al, , 2023Silva et al, 2019).…”

“…Leveraging e-business technologies, purchasing teams create strategies to reduce dyadic coordination costs, bullwhip effect in the supply chain, streamline inventory management and improve overall financial competitiveness for the firms (Johnson, 2014). Technology enabled procurement platforms coupled with machine learning and artificial intelligence are able to execute next level advanced analytics (Modgil et al , 2022), thus contributing to enhanced supply chain resilience that has gained highest ever significance since Covid-19 disruption (Remko, 2020; Shivajee et al , 2023; Araujo et al , 2023). I4.0 technologies legitimate the next level of maturity including the change in supplier, procurement and supply chain relationships, and not just limited to digitalization and automation of the function (Glas and Kleemann, 2016).…”
