This study aimed to investigate the inhibitory effect of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of radish and ginger on bacterial species isolated from urinary tract and auditory system infections. Prior research has shown the potential of natural plant extracts as alternatives to synthetic antibiotics. In this study, extracts were tested at concentrations of 10, 25, 50, and 100 mg/ml for each extract against six different bacterial species. Results demonstrated that the hot alcoholic extract was more efficient than the hot water extracts of the two plants, with 100 mg/ml concentration having the highest inhibition ability. In addition, the inhibitory effect increased with increasing extract concentration. The hot alcoholic extracts of both ginger and radish were found to have higher inhibitory effects against the bacterial species, with the hot alcoholic ginger extract being more effective than the radish water extract. Furthermore, the synergistic effects of the hot alcoholic and water extracts of radish and ginger were tested against all of the identified bacterial species. Finally, sensitivity testing demonstrated that the isolated bacteria showed differences in their sensitivity and resistance to different antibiotics. Overall, this study highlights the potential of natural plant extracts as a source of new antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial infections. Existing research has shown the potential of natural plant extracts as alternatives to synthetic antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial infections, including UTIs. However, there is a lack of studies investigating the inhibitory effect of specific plant extracts, such as radish and ginger, on bacterial species isolated from UTIs and auditory system infections. This study aims to address this research gap by investigating the inhibitory effect of aqueous and alcoholic extracts of radish and ginger on six different bacterial species. The importance of this research gap lies in the increasing prevalence of antibiotic resistance and the need for alternative treatments. The research motivation is to explore the potential of natural plant extracts as a source of new antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial infections.

Abusive head trauma (AHT), often known as shaken baby syndrome (SBS), is a type of brain damage induced by violent shaking in newborns and young children. SBS can be caused by shaking, dropping, or tossing a child. Anger directed towards a baby's caregiver who cries in an unfamiliar way is a common cause of shaking. As a result, parents and other newborn caregivers must monitor their own stress levels and establish good coping techniques. Shaken baby syndrome (SBS), a type of traumatic brain trauma, can occur when an infant is violently shaken. The goal of this study is to find out how much parents know about shaking baby syndrome. Participants in this study will be parents of infants under the age of a year. A survey was distributed to parents with newborns and toddlers. Questionnaires were distributed to participants after they provided informed consent. The questionnaires contained questions about age, education, nationality, and family size. Baby events throughout the first year of life, awareness of the risk of shaking your child during the first year, and familiarity with the phrase shaking baby syndrome were all included in SBS knowledge assessment questions. The sample size was limited to 200 participants. 60% of the population was under the age of 40, according to the demographic breakdown. Illiteracy affected 12% of the population. 56.6 percent of those experienced with SBS claimed they had shaken their baby to calm them down within the first year of life. Sixty-seven percent of parents interviewed claimed to being unaware of the risks of shaking a newborn during the first year of life. Furthermore, roughly 70% indicated they had never heard of SBS.

Eco-friendly and Secure Data Center to Detection Compromised Devices Utilizing Swarm Approach

Modern civilization increasingly relies on sustainable and eco-friendly data centers as the core hubs of intelligent computing. However, these data centers, while vital, also face heightened vulnerability to hacking due to their role as the convergence points of numerous network connection nodes. Recognizing and addressing this vulnerability, particularly within the confines of green data centers, is a pressing concern. This paper proposes a novel approach to mitigate this threat by leveraging swarm intelligence techniques to detect prospective and hidden compromised devices within the data center environment. The core objective is to ensure sustainable intelligent computing through a colony strategy. The research primarily focusses on the applying sigmoid fish swarm optimization (SiFSO) for early compromised device detection and subsequently alerting other network nodes. Additionally, our data center implements an innovative ant skyscape architecture (ASA) cooling mechanism, departing from traditional, unsustainable cooling strategies that harm the environment. To validate the effectiveness of these approaches, extensive simulations were conducted. The evaluations primarily revolved around the fish colony's ability to detect compromised devices, focusing on source tracing, realistic modelling, and an impressive 98% detection accuracy rate under ASA cooling solution with 0.16 ºC within 1,300 second. Compromised devices pose a substantial risk to green data centers, as attackers could manipulate and disrupt network equipment. Therefore, incorporating cyber enhancements into the green data center concept is imperative to foster more adaptable and efficient smart networks.
