Pulmonary vein isolation after partial pulmonary vein repair in patient with heterotaxy, anomalous right pulmonary veins and atrial fibrillation with associated cardiomyopathy
Abstract:Partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC) is an unusual
congenital anomaly with variable sites of attachment of the atypical
pulmonary veins. Anomalous right pulmonary vein return can be surgically
corrected if left to right shunt physiology becomes hemodynamically
significant. In such patients, as in the general population, the
development of arrhythmia-associated heart failure due to atrial
fibrillation prompts consideration of pulmonary vein isolation. There
are limited reports of pulmonary vein… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
