Pulmonary dysfunction-an overt leprosy sequel: study done in a rehabilitation centre

Abstract: The WHO expert committee on leprosy, eighth report, defined a case of Leprosy as a person having manifestations of at least one of the following cardinal signs. 1 Definite loss of sensation in a pale (hypo pigmented) or reddish skin patch. A thickened or enlarged peripheral nerve, with loss of sensation and/or weakness of the muscles supplied by the nerve. The presence of acid-fast bacilli in a slit skin smear.
