Pulmonary Blood Flow Heterogeneity during Hypoxia and High-Altitude Pulmonary Edema

Abstract: Uneven hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction has been proposed to expose parts of the pulmonary capillary bed to high pressure and vascular injury in high-altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE).
