Pulmonary arterial hypertension and right heart failure—A late‐onset complication after cardiac catheterization

Abstract: Arteriovenous fistula is a possible complication of diagnostic procedures requiring arterial femoral catheterization. Late onset manifestation is reported rarely. An impressive case of severe pulmonary arterial hypertension and consecutive right heart failure caused by an arteriovenous fistula between the common iliac artery and the distal inferior caval vein manifesting four years after cardiac catheterization in described.
