Pullulan gum production from low-quality fig syrup using Aureobasidium pullulans

Abstract: Pullulan is an important polysaccharide with several potential applications in food science, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, but high costs of pullulan production are the main limitation for commercial utilization.
