Using a sample of 2.59 × 10 7 ψ(2S) decays collected by the CLEO-c detector, we present results of a study of χ c0 and χ c2 decays into two-meson final states. We present the world's most precise measurements of the χ cJ,(J=0,2) → π + π − , π 0 π 0 , K + K − , K 0 S K 0 S , ηη and η ′ η ′ branching fractions, and a search for χ c decays into ηη ′ . These results shed light on the mechanism of charmonium decays into pseudoscalar mesons.

We study exclusive χ c0,1,2 decays to four-hadron final states involving two charged and two neutral mesons: π + π − π 0 π 0 , K + K − π 0 π 0 , ppπ 0 π 0 , K + K − ηπ 0 , and K ± π ∓ K 0 π 0 . The χ c states are produced in radiative decays of 3.08 million ψ(2S) resonance decays and observed in the CLEO detector. We also measure the largest substructure contributions to the modes π + π − π 0 π 0 and K ± π ∓ K 0 π 0 .
