Private enterprises in Vietnam as well as in other countries play an important role in the economy, but they have encountered several barriers in their development at both micro and macro levels. Inquires of these barriers is meaningful in making policy recommendations to remove barriers to private enterprise development in countries where the State/Government is considered a major factor. This study focuses on evaluating factors affecting the micro-barrier system that hinder the development of private enterprises in Vietnam to answer two research questions: which factors influence microbarriers that hinder the development of private enterprises in Vietnam and what is the degree of influence of those factors along with the mediating impact of intention to use of renewable energy? The study applies quantitative research methods to measure the impact of factors on the micro-barriers system that hinder private enterprise development based on the survey sample of 392 private enterprises in Vietnam, which are mainly small and medium-sized private enterprises (most affected by micro barriers). Research findings indicate that state management policies; legal and tax systems, expanding scientific research and technological innovation activities are the main factors affecting the micro barriers that hinder the development of private enterprises in Vietnam. Intention to use of renewable energy significantly mediates between competitiveness in production and business, support for scientific research and technological innovation activities, expanding cooperation and international integration, state management policy, law and tax and barriers restricting enterprise development. These results could become experiences for other countries like Vietnam.

Renewable energy has become an important element of today’s modern technology targeting high-efficiency energy production. As part of its 2030 Vision, Saudi Arabia is aiming to increase its energy production through renewable sources. The purpose of this research study is to explore the factors affecting public willingness to adopt renewable energy technologies in the western region of Saudi Arabia. This was achieved through an extensive literature review of previous studies conducted worldwide and resulted in the extraction of 19 factors that affect public willingness to adopt renewable energy technologies. Following a quantitative research design, random cross-sectional data of 416 participants using the extracted factors were collected via an online questionnaire survey. Following a dimension reduction statistical approach, key components were extracted with exploratory factor analysis using principal component analysis. Five main components clustering the 19 extracted factors were revealed: cost and government regulations and policies, public awareness and local market, environment and public infrastructure, residential building, and renewable energy technology systems. The implications of this research study assist in guiding governments, regulations and policy makers, marketing agencies, and investors to better understand the concerns and enablers of renewable energy technologies adoption from the public perspective.

This research tries to investigate the impact of population growth on energy generation in Nigeria using Auto Regressive Distributive Lag (ARDL). The study employed an econometric methodology involving the use of unit root test, cointegration test technique. The study use of different source of electricity production in Nigeria such as hydro power source (HPS), natural gas source (NGS), oil and coal sources (OCS) , as dependents variables which were regress against population and real gross domestic product (GDP) as explanatory variables which altogether serve as determinants of energy generation. The ARDL Bound test reveals that both the three equations under studies are cointegrated. Consequently, the study finds that the long run and short run dynamics of the variables involved. From the long run coefficients the study found that population growth has a positive and significant impact on energy generation from natural gas source, oil and coal source but negative impact on hydropower sources. Based on these findings some recommendations were made, Nigeria government should adequately project the growing rate of population in advance so as to generate volume of energy that will cater for the population so as to avoid the risk of energy shortage in Nigeria.
