Abstract:A Gram-stain-negative, gliding-motile, positive for catalase, facultative anaerobic, designated strain XSD401T, was isolated from the red algae of Xiaoshi Island, Shandong Province, China. Growth occurred at 20–37 °C (optimum, 33 °C), pH 5.5–9.5 (optimum, pH 6.5–7.5), and with 0.5–5% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 3%).
