As noted by Anthony, Cohen & Farkas (1990) the writings of Beard (Beard, Malamud, & Rossman, 1978), Lamb (1982), Dincin (1981), Grob (1983), among others, indicate a growing consensus about what constitutes the essential principles of psychiatric rehabilitation" (p. 64).
