“…Similar results were obtained from the correlations between the 12‐item WHODAS‐II and WHOQoL‐BREF. It is important to note that there is inconsistent evidence that the getting‐along domain is also related to social relationships domain [Chiu et al, ; Ćwirlej‐Sozańska, Wilmowska‐Pietruszyńska, & Sozański, ; Suárez, Tay, & Abdullah, ; Tazaki, Yamaguchi, Yatsunami, & Nakane, ]. Some studies have highlighted reduced social relationship seeking tendencies in some individuals with ASD despite social isolation [Bolis & Schilbach, ; Kohls, Chevallier, Troiani, & Schultz, ].…”

“…Sim et al's study has examined this instrument to assess QOL among patients with schizophrenia and co-morbid depression in Singapore [35]. Good construct validity and internal consistency was evidenced by high Cronbach's alpha coefficients for the domains of physical health (0.79), psychological health (0.82), social relationships (0.81), and environment (0.83) [36].…”

“…While most previous studies that evaluated the impact of WTPs focused on the health problems from which nearby residents suffer, other aspects such as mental health, social relationships, and the environment have been scarcely discussed [21][22][23][24][25]. The present study aims to evaluate the residents' QoL as a comprehensive indicator of the impact of a WTP on these aspects for the people living near one using the World Health Organization's (WHO) Quality of Life assessment scale, WHOQOL-BREF, which has been used to measure the QoL both for the general population and for those suffering from different diseases [26,27,28]. This study also aims to determine the factors in uencing the QoL of the residents.…”
