Abstract:Previous studies have reported that males frequently suffer from major depression. However, due to the norms of masculine roles, in which emphasis is placed in displaying strength, invulnerability, and control, the ways that some men exhibit depression may differ from traditional diagnostic symptoms of major depressive disorder.
