Psychologische Störungen des autobiografischen Gedächtnisses – Einflüsse von Trauma, Dissoziation und PTSD

Abstract: Intact neuropsychological and neurobiological memory systems are precondition to any coherence and continuity of self structure during biography. Autobiographical memory is the ontogenetically most recent and most highly structured part of the episodic memory together with the semantic memory comprising the declarative or explicit memory that again has to be differentiated from various subsystems of the implicit memory. Autobiographical memory is paradigmatically impaired in dissociative disorders. A survey on… Show more

“…Interestingly, our subject appeared to be able to either recognize some famous faces or feel that they were familiar to her. These observations are in line with the notion that only autobiographical memory, the ontogenetically most recent and most highly structured part of episodic memory, is paradigmatically impaired in dissociative disorders (Kapfhammer, ). In addition, the stronger involvement of the limbic structures seen in response to familiar (compared to famous) faces conforms to the so‐called unconscious familiarity processing hypothesis, suggesting that only familiar faces can be processed unconsciously (Axelrod et al., ).…”

“…In addition, the stronger involvement of the limbic structures seen in response to familiar (compared to famous) faces conforms to the so‐called unconscious familiarity processing hypothesis, suggesting that only familiar faces can be processed unconsciously (Axelrod et al., ). The stronger activation observed in the bilateral IPL, the bilateral hippocampus/amygdala region, the orbitofrontal cortex, and the middle temporal regions in response to familiar faces may also be the result of subconscious hyperarousal akin to the effects seen in dissociative conditions during confrontation with trauma contexts (Kapfhammer, ).…”

“…Im Folgenden werden beispielhaft verschiedene Themenbereiche der Sexualität und dazugehörige Übungen vorgestellt. Die Aufgaben sind nicht als einmalige Chancen des Erkenntnisgewinns gedacht, sondern als zu wie-derholende Gelegenheiten, neue Qualitäten und Muster der Interaktion zu entwickeln und alte Muster zu überschreiben (Kapfhammer 2011).…”
