Psychological climate and collective effectiveness of a sports team

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify the relationship between the psychological climate in a women's sports team and its collective effectiveness. The experimental study involved 20 qualified rugby players of the VVA-Moscow region club (Moscow region, experimental group), and 30 rugby players of the CSKA and Kuban clubs (Moscow and Krasnodar, control group). Methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature; methodology "Assessment of the moral and psychological climate in the team" (A.N.Lutoshkin); methodology "Assessment of collective effectiveness in a team" (A.A.Vitter, G.B.Gorskaya), author's questionnaire, percentage analysis, descriptive, correlation and regression analysis, mathematical methods of processing results using the computer program SPSS 22. Insufficient level of favorability of the socio-psychological climate in the EG, insufficient level of trust during the game between the EG players was revealed, which is likely to lead to a decrease in sports performance. Significant interrelations between the socio-psychological climate and the collective effectiveness of the team have been established, and it has also been established that the psychological climate is its predictor. The necessity of optimizing the psychological climate in the women's sports team is substantiated.
