Psychological characteristics and the effectiveness of patient-controlled analgesia

Abstract: We have evaluated the level of state and trait anxiety, neuroticism, extroversion and coping style as predictors of the effectiveness of patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) in 110 patients undergoing total abdominal hysterectomy.
