Psychiatric Care and Course of Psychiatric Disorders From Childhood to Early Adulthood in a Representative Sample

Abstract: The incidence and prevalence of registered and psychiatric disorders were studied from birth to 24 years of age in a total population. The cumulative incidence of psychiatric disorders (meeting DSM III criteria) below 25 years was 13.9% for boys and 14.2% for girls.
