Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory immune-mediated skin diseases which is frequently associated to comorbidities. Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is defined as an excessive accumulation of triglycerides in hepatocytes and includes a wide spectrum of liver conditions ranging from relatively benign steatosis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis with fatty infiltration and lobular inflammation and to cirrhosis and endstage liver disease. Actually, psoriasis is considered a systemic diseases associated to comorbidities, as metabolic syndrome and NAFLD is seen the hepatic manifestation of the metabolic syndrome. The possible link between psoriasis, obesity and metabolic syndrome, which are known risk factors for NAFLD has been recently documented focusing in the crucial role of the adipose tissue in the development of the inflammatory background sharing by the above entities. According to recent data, patients with psoriasis show a greater prevalence of NAFLD and metabolic syndrome than the general population. Moreover, patients with NAFLD and psoriasis are at higher risk of severe liver fibrosis than those with NAFLD and without psoriasis. The link between these pathological conditions appears to be a chronic low-grade inflammatory status. The aim of this review is to focus on the multiple aspects linking NAFLD and psoriasis, only apparently far diseases. Core tip: The review focuses on the multiple physiopathogenetic aspects of the possible link between psoriasis and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) emphasizing the most recent scientific data. The importance of the multidisciplinary approach to patients affected by psoriasis is underlined and the therapeutic options to treat concomitant psoriasis and NAFLD is discussed evaluating the risk benefit of both biologic and non-biologic therapies.Ganzetti G, Campanati A, Offidani A. Objective:To explore the patients' knowledge about psoriasis and the association of knowledge score with the socio-demographic variables among community population in Almadina Almonawara City. Method: This study (2016) was carried out among a sample of 461 subjects. The mean age of citizens was 28,82. To assess citizens' demographic factors and beliefs about Psoriasis, consenting citizens completed an anonymous online questionnaire. The data was entered and analyzed using SPSS version 20. Results:The sample is consisted of 65,8% women and 34,2% men. Among the respondents 7,7% reported suffering from psoriasis and 13,6% confirmed having a history of Psoriasis illness in their family.

Öz IntroductionPsoriasis, with a worldwide prevalence of 2-3%, is now assumed as a systemic chronic inflammatory disease accompanied by comorbidities while it was accepted as a disease limited only to the skin in the past 1 . Psoriasis and its comorbidities were the main focused topic at several sessions of the 73 rd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology and, especially, systemic disease concept was emphasized 2 . Therefore, recent publications suggest that the term psoriatic disease would be a better nomination instead of psoriasis 3 . In this review, learning screening recommendations developed for early detection and treatment of comorbidities as well as integrated, multidisciplinary approach for disease management have been targeted by reviewing psoriasis and accompanying comorbidities. Comorbidities are more frequently seen in 15% of psoriasis patients who have moderate to severe psoriasis due to increased inflammatory impact and common pathogenesis. Consistent monitoring and systemic treatment are required to prevent development of comorbidities. Orta-şiddetli düzeyde psoriazisi olanlarda daha sık görülen komorbiditelerle ilgili çeşitli sınıflamalar mevcuttur. Basit olarak klasik, kronik sistemik enflamasyonla ilişkili, yaşam tarzı ile ilgili ve tedavi ile ilgili olarak sınıflanabileceği gibi medikal komorbiditeler, psikiyatrik/psikolojik komorbiditeler ve komorbiditelere katkı yapan durumlar şeklinde de sınıflanabilmektedir.
