“…It was not our purpose to adhere to earlier landmark-based descriptions but to find the most convenient ultrasound approach at the proximal lateral level of the thigh. In our Brief Technical Report,3 we describe this technique in detail. At that time, we did not know that Dr Yoshida et al had the same idea, and we congratulate the group on having performed a nice study comparing the anterior and the proximal lateral approach with ultrasound-guided sciatic nerve block.…”
