Abstract:The technique of cell wall enzymatic lysis was used to prepare protoplastt from the microconidia of Microsporum gypseum. Cell wall elimination was immunologically verified. Protoplasts isolated from microconidia were found to be of the following two types: large with a vacuole and small without one. The small protoplasts regenerated on plates of osmotically stabilized complete medium with reduced agar content (0.5 O/o) and in stabilized liquid medium as well.
