Abstract: Rationale: Hypomagnesemia is associated with multiple electrolyte disturbances such as hypokalemia, hypocalcemia and hypoparathyroidism. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are widely used in gastrointestinal disorders and are generally considered safe by clinicians.
