Abstract:Background
Despite therapeutic advances, treatment of patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) continue to pose as a challenge as many do not respond well to conventional Western medications, such as nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and biologic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs).
