Protocol compatibility tester for CDMA mobile system (CMS)

Abstract

This paper present the architecture of Protocol Analyzer, Simulator, and Tester(PAST) which can be used for the protocol compatibility test of the CDMA mobile system (CMS). The PAST is also applicable to the protocol compatibility test for general communication system. Especially, the PAST has some special features such as multiprocessing kemel, multi-scenario handling to simulate more than one system simultaneously. It is proved that these features are very useful for the test category such as softhandoff, multi-party call, etc in CMS.
