Abstract:Introduction: Postpartum hypertension (PPHT) is hypertension that persists or develops directly after pregnancy. PPHT affects 10% of pregnancies and is the most common cause for re-hospitalization after giving birth. In general, PPHT stems from hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP).
