Abstract:Background: Stratification is required to ensure that only patients likely to benefit receive autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI). It would be advantageous to identify biomarkers to predict ACI outcome that are measurable in blood, avoiding the need for an invasive synovial fluid harvest.
