Abstract: Neutrophil and (alveolar) macrophage immunity is considered crucial for eliminating Aspergillus fumigatus. Data derived from bronchoalveloar lavage (BAL) characterizing the human immuno-pulmonary response to Aspergillus fumigatus are non-existent.
