Abstract: The neuroendocrine marker genes Ptprn and Ptprn2 encode protein tyrosine phosphatase receptors N and N2, two members of protein tyrosine phosphatase receptors void of enzymatic activity, and whose function and mechanism of action have not been elucidated.
