“…It reveals protein structure stability around the fluorescent residues, e.g., more concretely sites I and II, during BSA-MnCQD interaction. Furthermore, a recent reporter investigated the displacement of the well-known site ligand (warfarin and ibuprofen) and identified sites I and II of human serum albumin as the anchoring region for the CQD nanoparticles 38 . HTF experiences a visible shift on the λ max =338nm to 345nm (Fig.…”

“…It has been reported that the FCDs derived from grilled salmon could combine with digestive proteases (pepsin, trypsin) through the static interaction mechanism, change the secondary structure of the two proteases and inhibit enzyme activity [5]. Human serum albumin (HSA) could reduce the cytotoxicity of FCDs in grilled salmon, reduce the rate Foods 2021, 10, 2336 2 of 15 of apoptosis and slow down the disorders of glucose and lipid metabolism [7]. Moreover, the FCDs from roast beef could combine with HSA through electrostatic interaction or hydrophobic force, and were distributed in cell lysosomes.…”

“…To confirm N-CQDs’ cytocompatibility and phenomena of their lowered oxidative toxicity, we have focused on their interactions within the cellular microenvironment, specifically on the interplay with proteins. The protein corona formation of CQDs from roast salmon with serum albumin has only recently been reported and assumed to reduce the toxicity of quantum dots [ 37 ]. The bovine serum albumin coating strongly decreases their oxidative properties and does not quench their intrinsic fluorescence.…”
