Prostatic Leiomyoma: An Uncommon Diagnosis Found in Clinically Suspected Cases of Severe Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Without Elevated Serum Total Prostate-Specific Antigen Levels
Abstract:Leiomyomas of the prostate are uncommon benign tumors. We report the case of a 67-year-old man who underwent an emergent, open prostatectomy for symptomatic relief of clinically severe benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
