Abstract: Purpose Statins’ cholesterol-lowering efficacy is well-known. Recent epidemiological studies have found that inhibition of cholesterol synthesis may have beneficial effects on prostate cancer (PCa) patients, especially patients treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT).
