Prospects for the Use of Drum-Type Units to Recycle Metallurgical Slags

Abstract: This article examines one of several approaches currently being taken to the recycling of metallurgical slag in the liquid state inside drum-type units. Technological and design features of the units are discussed. The recycling units make it possible to obtain different types of products from slag melts. A new design of an experimental rotor-type unit is also described. The technology used to recycle metallurgical in drum-type units [1-3] entails subjecting the slag to the action of various heat-transfer agent… Show more

“…In our opinion, in the works [10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17] the study directions are secondary production factors, since in these aggregates only one component of slags, iron-containing, is affected. The silicate component of slag is not affected, nor is it converted to a marketable product with surplus value.…”
