Abstract:Dietary fiber is an essential part of good nutrition and health for both adults and children. Human breast milk is rich in a variety of oligosaccharides; however, bottle-fed infants may experience a deficiency due to the fact that most conventional infant and follow-on milk formulas do not contain prebiotics.
