“…In the presence of small motion (e.g., respiratory motion or slow head drifts), artifacts are less obvious on QSM, although depiction of small structures such as pial veins in prefrontal regions were considerably improved with PMC (Figure ). Therefore, in line with a recent MR angiography study, these results also highlight the benefits of high resolution and PMC on MR venography.…”

“…Long scan durations and small voxel sizes render high resolution MRI vulnerable to small‐scale subject motion. Therefore, motion correction has been applied retrospectively to GRE with isotropic voxel sizes up to 0.35 mm, and prospectively to MPRAGE up to 0.25 mm and 0.15 mm time‐of‐flight angiography . In this study, QSM from GRE data with 0.33 mm isotropic voxel size was reconstructed.…”

“…Using the motion estimates provided by this external hardware, the MR imaging volume's position and orientation can be updated during scanning, therefore, correcting motion prospectively. This technique allowed the highest resolution whole brain in vivo data acquisition, with up to 250 µm and 150 µm isotropic resolution for anatomic and vascular data, respectively. Because of its accuracy and short latency, MPT is often regarded as a gold standard …”
