“…However, postoperative IPSS, Q max , and PSA decline were advantageous in the GL-EEP group and accompanied by a more favorable course of the IIEF-5 score. Furthermore, 10.1% of GL-PV patients needed retreatment, but none in the GL-EEP group ( P = 0.002) [ 22 ▪ ]. In addition to high rates of ejaculation dysfunction in both groups, the postoperative erectile function was associated with improvements in urinary tract function.…”

“…Greenlight laser enucleation of prostate was first described by Gomez Sancha in 2010, demonstrating its advantages in handling large prostate bigger than 80 g (Sancha, 2010). Regarding the sexual function outcome, Huet et al published a prospective cohort in 2019 comparing the sexual function of 180 W XPS PVP and 180 W XPS GreenLEP (Huet et al., 2019). The mean age was 68, average prostate size was around 110 ml in both groups.…”

“…Very few data on ejaculation outcomes were reported for the newer EEP technique. Only 1.2% antegrade ejaculation was preserved after GreenLEP in a prospective cohort (Huet et al., 2019). Reported post‐operative incidence of antegrade ejaculation ranged from 12% to 52.7% after ThuLEP, in which 7.9%–12.1% reported painful ejaculation (Carmignani et al., 2015; Saredi et al., 2016; Wang et al., 2014).…”
