Abstract:This paper presents the influence of the Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) process on the structure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of padding welds made using the TIG method from aluminium bronzes—CuAl7 and CuAl2 (a composite bundled wire). The tested CuAl7 material was a commercial welding wire, while the CuAl2 composite was an experimental one (a prototype of the material produced in multiwire technology).
