“…Boussaa et al [52] reported a thinner surface for solid WFS sample after leaching. This explains the lower UCS obtained for DFS geopolymers as [6,44,53,54]. The XRD analysis of WFS was predominated with quartz (SiO 2 ); this agrees with the elemental analysis results, which showed a relative proportion of 95.8 wt% for SiO 2 .…”

“…The study in [51] aimed to develop an efficient pretreatment method of the surface of secondary rubber particles to enhance the sound insulation properties of a lightweight rubberized aggregate made of concrete. A lightweight concrete mix was prepared in this research by the lightweight clay expansion as a coarse aggregate and furnace bottom ash (FBA) as a fine aggregate [120]. Results showed that the overall noise reduction was 32.50 dB in the replacement of the entire FBA with recycled rubber aggregates, which a reduction substantially above 15.50 dB was already achieved by a control concrete mix made without rubber [19,[121][122][123].…”

“…Farklı dayanım sınıflarında hazırlanan tüm jeopolimer karışımlarında daha düşük emilim oranları belirlenmiş ve ayrıca beton kalitesindeki artışla emilimin azaldığı bulunmuştur. WFS ilavesi, GPC'nin klorit ve sülfat saldırısına karşı daha iyi direnç gösterdiğini bildirmişlerdir [29].…”
