Properties of Doubly Heavy Baryons

Abstract: We revisited the mass spectra of the Ξcc++ baryon with positive and negative parity states using Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model Scheme with Coloumb plus screened potential. The ground state of the baryon has been determined by the LHCb experiment, and the anticipated excited state masses of the baryon have been compared with several theoretical methodologies. The transition magnetic moments of all heavy baryons Ξcc++, Ξcc+, Ωcc+, Ξbb0, Ξbb−, Ωbb−, Ξbc+, Ξbc0, Ωbc0 are also calculated and their values are… Show more

“…Such a model is well established and have been used to determine the properties of heavy flavored baryons previosly (see in Refs. [32][33][34][35] ). The goal of this research is to look insights into singly heavy bottomstrange baryons and assign a J p value to experimentally observed states that don't have one, to plot the Regge trajectory (In J, M 2 plane) to justify calculated mass spectra, and to investigate their properties.…”

“…The Ξ family contains only first generation light quarks (u, d) and the Ω family comprises strange quark other than two heavy quarks. One member of the doubly heavy Ξ family has been discussed in our previous work, 1 while the other two are discussed in this work. In the doubly heavy sector, so far Ξ cc baryon is experimentally detected with one star status in PDG.…”

“…12 In the present work, the Hypercentral Constituent Quark Model is employed to describe the inter-quark interaction inside the doubly heavy baryons and screened potential is considered as confining potential with color-Coulomb potential which is inspired by our previous work on Ξ cc . 1 Here, masses of 1S-6S, 1P-4P, 1D-4D and 1F-2F states are enumerated for Ξ cb and Ξ bb baryons. The article is followed as: after the introduction, the model is described in 2.…”

“…In this paper, we determine the mass spectra of triply charm bottom Ω ccb and Ω bbc baryons in the framework of the Hypercentral constituent quark model with screened potential. Previously the same methodology has been used to determine the masses of singly charm [35,36], singly bottom [37,38], doubly heavy baryons [39,40] and triply charm and triply bottom baryons [41]. The model has successfully determined the unknown quantum numbers of baryonic states.…”
