Abstract:The general expression for the differential cross-section describing Auger decay following the ionization of polarized atoms by polarized electrons is obtained in a two-step approximation. In the case of ionization of non-polarized atoms by nonpolarized electrons, the expressions for the parameters of angular distribution of Auger electrons and angular correlations between Auger and escaping electrons are derived as special cases of the general expression. The magnetic dichroism in the angular distribution of … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
