“…The increase in microhardness with annealing time and thickness reduction could mainly be due to the oxide dispersion strengthening mechanism occurring during annealing at 817-820 • C in flowing oxygen. Reduction in microhardness is also reported for AgMn x (x = 0.2, 0.5) and several AgMg alloys following the attainment of the peak value [6,7]. In figure 1, the peak value was achieved after 100 h heat treatment for the 80% reduced thickness AgMn 0.35 alloy at 800 • C.
