“…Multiple linear regression was used to predict WBI scores and is shown in Table 3. The model accounted for 20% of the variance in WBI scores ( R 2 = .20) and was significant, F (5, 76) = 3.51, p < .01. Age (β = −.27, p < .05) and termination type (β = .24, p < .05) were significant predictors of WBI scores, while education, sex, and time since last job were not.…”

Another study was conducted to compare rates of employment before, during, and after employment at the therapeutic workplace [49]. The researchers found that unemployed chronic drug users will attend work at higher rates at Table 5 Condition index to check collinearity for the models of Tables 2, 3 and 4 in this study Number Condition Index Model of Table 2 Model of Table 3 Model of Table 4 the therapeutic workplace than in the community when paid modest wages.…”

“…Also, Maddux and McDonald found 21% employment rate among individuals dependent on heroin in Texas [4]. Generally, it can be stated that, employment rate among drug dependent individuals is as low as 15-35% [5]. This high rate of drug abuse among unemployed individuals compared to the employed population can be an important alarming factor to identify treatment needs and prevent drug abuse [6].…”
