“…In addition, through the success of the "bystander" intervention model, a new factor in bullying relationships has arisen, termed "upstanders." Upstanders train to oppose those who bully others, in person and online and, when successful, remove bullying at its source during social interaction, generating a safer school community and actively eliminating the potential need for therapy to assist with the potential consequences of bullying, including cyberbullying (Barnett et al, 2019).
