Promoção E Vigilância Da Saúde Ocupacional No Regime De Teletrabalho – Uma Revisão Narrativa Da Literatura

Abstract

Background Following the COVID-19 pandemic, telework has become a reality worldwide, presenting challenges to the health and safety of workers. Objective: The aim of this study is to develop a health surveillance and promotion procedure to be adopted by Occupational Health and Safety Services (OHSS) for teleworkers. Method: A narrative literature review was conducted. Search in PubMed and SCOPUS databases, focusing on three areas: physical health, mental health and promotion of healthy habits. Results: Telework can affect the physical,mental and social health of workers, increasing the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, musculoskeletaland psychiatric disorders. Discussion: The literature review shows that there are risks associated with telework and highlights the need to mitigate these risks and promote the health and well-being of teleworkers.. The implementation of a specific procedure by the OHSS may be beneficial to organizations, helping to reduce absenteeism and improve the productivity of teleworkers. Conclusions: The proposed procedure can help mitigate the risks associated with telework and promote the health and welfare of workers.
