Endometriosis (EM) is one of the vanquished wonted causes of chronic pelvic sting in women and is closely associated with infertility. The long-term, complex, systemic, and post-treatment recurrence of EM wreaks havoc on women's quality of life. Extensive metabolic reprogramming (aerobic glycolysis, glucose overweening intake, and high lactate production) and cancer-like changes have been found in EM, which bears striking similarities to tumorigenesis. The key glycolysis regulator PFKFB4 is overexpressed in EM. However, the mechanism of PFKFB4 in EM remains unknown. We found that PFKFB4 was upregulated and was closely related to the progression of EM. We identified focus PIM2 as a new pioneering adjoin protein of PFKFB4. Vigorous biochemical methods were used to confirm that PIM2 phosphorylated site Thr140 of PFKFB4. PIM2 also could enhance PFKFB4 protein expression through the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Moreover, PIM2 expression was really corresponding prevalent with PFKFB4 in endometriosis in vivo. Importantly, phosphorylation of PFKFB4 on Thr140 by PIM2 promoted EM glycolysis and cell growth. Our study demonstrates that PIM2 mediates PFKFB4 Thr140 phosphorylation thus regulating glycolysis and EM progression. We illustrated a new mechanism that PIM2 simulated a central upstream partnership in the regulation of PFKFB4, and reveal a novel means of PIM2-PFKFB4 setting EM growth. Our research provided new theoretical support for further clarifying the reprogramming of EM glucose metabolism, and provided new clues for exploring non-contraceptive treatments for EM.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of dydrogesterone combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs) in the treatment of patients with mild endometriosis. Methods: This was a clinical comparative study. Eighty patients with mild endometriosis were recruited at Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University, randomly divided experimental group (n=40) and control group (n=40) from March 2022 to March 2023. Both groups started treatment with dydrogesterone on the 5th day of menstruation. Patients in the control group were treated with dydrogesterone monotherapy, while those in the experimental group were treated with mefenamic acid the basis of the therapy of the control group. The clinical efficacy, differences in the levels of humoral immune indexes, the levels of inflammatory factor and the incidence of adverse drug reactions of the two groups was compared and analyzed. Results: The efficacy of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P=0.02). The levels of C3 and C4 in the experimental group after treatment were significantly lower than those in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P=0.00). After treatment, TNF-a, CRP, IL-6 and other indexes in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P=0.00). The incidence of adverse reactions after treatment had no statistically significant difference(P=0.45). Conclusion: Dydrogesterone combined with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is a safe and effective treatment for patients with endometriosis. Teelessaúde e Atenção Primária à Saúde na p .... OBJETIVO: Descrever a importância da implementação da educação em saúde na prevenção de neoplasias penianas. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, realizada entre os meses de junho e julho de 2022, através dos bancos de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Utilizados os Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) em cruzamento com o operador booleano AND. Estabelecidos os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, desta forma, foram selecionados cinco artigos para compor o estudo. RESULTADOS: Os principais resultados evidenciam a diminuição da incidência da neoplasia peniana conforme a implementação de ações educacionais, desta forma constata-se que a educação em saúde é uma ferramenta essencial na promoção da saúde do homem, em relação a saúde sexual na prevenção de neoplasias, e o profissional da enfermagem destaca-se neste processo. Em relação ao perfil social dos pacientes acometidos pela neoplasia destaca-se a baixa escolaridade, evidenciando na importância da assistência adequada e compreensível para todos os níveis sociais. CONCLUSÃO: A educação é um instrumento imprescindível na promoção da saúde, e desta forma faz-se necessário a formulação de protocolos assistenciais, além da inclusão de componentes relacionados à saúde homem, na formação acadêmica do profissional. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Neoplasias penianas. Educação em saúde. Saúde do homem. OBJECTIVE:To describe the importance of implementing health education in the prevention of penile neoplasms. METHODS: This is a narrative review of the literature, carried out between June and July 2022, through the Virtual Health Library databases. Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) were used in crossing with the Boolean operator AND. Having established the inclusion and exclusion criteria, in this way, five articles were selected to compose the study. RESULTS: The main results show the decrease in the incidence of penile neoplasia, in relation to the social profile of patients affected by the neoplasia, identified: Married, white, heterosexual, average age -above 40 to 65 years, low education and retirees; Health education proves to be an essential tool in the promotion of men's health, in relation to sexual health in the prevention of neoplasms, and the nursing professional stands out in this process. CONCLUSION: Education is an essential tool in health promotion, and thus, it is necessary to formulate care protocols, in addition to the inclusion of components related to men's health, in the professional's academic training.
