Project Scheduling Analysis Using the Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) Case Study: Surabaya’s City Outer East Ring Road Construction Project (Segment 1)

The quality of the road depends on the pavement, drainage conditions, and materials. For this reason, it is necessary to make innovations in improving the quality of road pavement, one of which is increasing the material. There are many types of pavements, one of which is porous asphalt pavement. Porous asphalt has many cavities that is easy for water to pass but has a low stability value with high permeability. This research will utilize Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE), as an additive, CPO, and Pen 60/70 in a porous asphalt mixture. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the porous asphalt mixture by substituting LDPE and CPO for Pen 60/70. The method used in analyzing the characteristics of the porous asphalt mixture refers to the specifications of the Australis Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) (2014), with parameters Camtabro Loss (CL), Asphalt Flow Down (AFD), VIM, stability and flow. The gradation used in this study is an open gradation. This research was started from determining the value of Optimum Asphalt Content (KAO), with two variations, namely Variation 1 (1% LDPE, 10% CPO, 89% pen 60/70), variation 2 (5% LDPE, 10% CPO, 85% Pens 60/70). The KAO value of variation 1 is 5.03% and the second variation is 4.75%. After obtaining the KAO value, LDPE and CPO are substituted. The test results for the porous asphalt mixture for CL values were 34.12% and 27.07%, respectively; AFD value of 0.13% and 0.12%; for the VIM value of 14.90% and 19.03%; stability value 603.24 kg and 603.19 kg; and flow values are 5.03 mm and 4.80 mm. In general, the value obtained from the test meets the required requirements. However, the durability value of the mixture did not meet the requirements, namely 60.15% and 48.22%, with the condition >90%.

Some materials derived from plants can be used as a source of biodegradable thermoplastic materials such as rice, potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, sago, etc. In this research, thermoplastic sago starch (TPS) with a mixture of two types of fillers was synthesized to become environmentally friendly composites that can be naturally degraded in a relatively short time compared to other conventional plastics which decompose in decades, hence can contribute to environmental conservation efforts. Increasing the strength of bio composite through the presence of fillers will expand its application such as for household application. Sago is available in large quantities in Indonesia and needs to be utilized optimally to increase its added value. TPS is synthesized using sorbitol as a plasticizer so that it becomes a starch paste. Composites are moulded by means of compression moulding using TPS and cellulose as a filler and Polypropylene (PP). The fillers used were sawdust and rice husk with several variations to obtain optimal combination, to improve the mechanical performance of the composites. For rice husk fibre, the highest tensile strength value 13.82 MPa, found at 40% fibre with ratio of TPS: PP 1: 0.5, and the highest elongation value was 16.47% at 40% fibre at ratio of TPS : PP 1: 0.5. For Sawdust fibre, the highest tensile strength value 11.08 MPa, obtained at 20% fibre at ratio of TPS : PP 1 : 1, and the highest elongation value was 18.57% at 20% fibre with ratio of TPS : PP 1 : 1. The role of human resource management is reflected in the company's policy to regulate its human resources so that it can play a major role in working together and supporting the company's strategy by measuring the level of employee performance. Employee work performance is strongly influenced by the condition of company such as motivation factors, job satisfaction, working stress, physical condition of work, compensation system, and job design. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of motivation factors, job satisfaction, working stress, physical condition of work, compensation system, and job design with employee performance at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Unit Kebun Balimbingan. This research was carried out at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Unit Kebun Balimbingan in May 2018. This study uses non-parametric analysis with Kendall Tau test. The results showed that the factors of motivation, job satisfaction, work stress, physical condition of work, compensation system and job design were partially related to employee performance because of the significance value (0.000 <0.05). Motivation factors, job satisfaction, physical condition of work and compensation system are strongly related and the direction of a positive relationship with work performance is the correlation coefficient values of 0.895, 0.720, 0.733 and 0.706, respectively. Job stress factors are negatively related to work performance with a correlation coefficient value of -0.550. Job design factors are positively related to a low correlation level of 0.377. Simultaneously the six factors are significantly related to work performance because the value of Asymp.Sig <0.05
