Abstract: Background Hereditary diffuse leukoencephalopathy with spheroids (HDLS) is a rare autosomal dominant disease progressively affecting cognitive and motor functions, most often caused by mutations in the colony‐stimulating factor 1 receptor gene (CSF1R).
