Abstract:Recent progress in the development of the Recovery-Based Discontinuous Galerkin method of Van Leer and Lo is reported. The method is shown to be competent for boundary value problems that involve second order derivatives, including shear terms, such as the viscous terms of the Navier-Stokes equations. As expected, the method's high order of accuracy yields superior results in terms of error versus computational time.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
