Progress toward a single chip radio in CMOS

Abstract: Baseband Processor RXTX PLL antenna 2 μ Si Progress toward a single chip radio in CMOS (Co-workers) Baseband Processor RX TX PLL antenna Outline 6 μ Si m&m TM sized RF subsystem• A 24-GHz system containing a single chip radio + a power source which will have the size of an m&m. 30 day operation for duty cycle of 0.1% at 100 kbps. • The radios could be used for node to node communication over 1-5 m. • The radios could also be used for communication between a node to a base station located up to 100m away.
